Орчуулгын уралдаанд 1-р байр эзэлсэн орчуулга /Англи хэл/

Four seasons                                                                     Translated by B. Udvalbayar 4-3

It is delightful when rain drops in a while
It is delightful when dried grass has drenched
It is delightful when thawing snow flows into ger1
It is delightful when birds sing here and there

It is delightful, when golden swallows fly nigh
It is delightful when a traveler dismounts at our home
It is delightful when neighbors have a maiden
It is delightful when we have a new neighbor

It is delightful when a single leaf slowly falls
It is delightful when the sun rises over the hills
It is delightful when the wind blows gently
It is delightful when a wind whirl gets up silently

It is delightful when it has snowed in the morning wake-up
It is delightful when fluffy snow falls through the toono2
It is delightful when mountains shine in the sunlight
It is delightful when grass waves in the wind

Homeland of mine is lovely as a poem
Home country of mine is lovely as a song
It is lovely to live in all seasons of a year
It is lovely to rain in the land of Ereentsav.

Ger1 – Portable yurts (Mongolian ger) which are circular structures supported by wooden frames, and covered in wool felt. Ger consists of a roof which has sky window called toono (roof ring), door, pillars, roof poles, and floor and round wooden walls covered in wool felt. It has also have soft covers: internal cover, roof cover, wall cover, outside white cover, window flap. Ger is very easy to assemble and disassemble.

Toono2 – the toono is the top roof ring of the yurt and is surrounded and supported by the pillars and yurt poles. The toono also has ventilation slats which allow air and sunlight to enter. The toono also plays an important role of defining the round shape of a ger. The size of toono is defined in measurements of the Mongolian ger.
